POSITION SUMMARY :

The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst is to support the debt related functions for Inland American including: financings, debt management, maintenance of the Line of Credit model and compliance. This position works with internal groups and outside parties to support the development of strategy and execution of debt across all product types. The goal of this position is to drive results by providing analysis and support on transactions and the closing of loans which are integral to future strategies across all asset classes.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Maintains a model used to track Inland American Fund’s compliance on the unsecured line of credit; actively monitors disposition and sales activity to ensure ample unencumbered assets to support the covenants.

Assists in the flow of due diligence to lenders as part of loan closings; acts as project manager on behalf of Borrower.
·
Coordinates financings with brokers, lawyers and lenders on a regular basis.
·
Tracks debt maturities and maintains timetables to ensure plans are in place to meet every debt maturity.

Performs post-closing follow-up and transition to Asset Management, Property Management, Property Accounting and Corporate Accounting.

Perform s ad hoc financial analysis and generates reports for CFO as requested.

Assist s with new financing packages by coordinating information across a variety of platforms (Asset Management, Transactions, etc.) and is responsible for lender questions and follow-up, tracking quotes and helping model best options.

Supports the preparation of department reports including workflow, recourse schedules and maintain s a database of debt related information.

Communicates debt quotes and recommendations to senior management.
·
Develops new tools to support the tracking of the debt markets, loan quotes, etc.
·
Leads loan assumptions and extensions and works closely with mortgage servicing company to review compliance.
·
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS :

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), preferably in business, accounting, finance or real estate, from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.

This position requires 2 to 5 years of prior professional experience in commercial real estate including lease analysis, investment analysis and value analysis.
·

No certifications/licenses are required for this position.
·
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are required for this position.
·
Intermediate skills in a multi-year cash flow modeling within the commercial real estate environment required for this position.
·
Intermediate skills in Argus (or comparable valuation software) preferred for this position.
·
Keyboarding skills are required for this position.
·
