Financial Analyst –
  • Finance (CH): The Financial Analyst will work directly with the Vice President of Finance to provide financial analysis, advisement and overall support for the business operations of Catholic Health (CH). Specifically the function will support the analysis needs of Supply Chain, New Technology, Institutional Review board, Government Reimbursement and other functions as needed and directed by the Vice President of Finance.

    Supply Chain:
    ·
    Analyze financial impact of supply chain opportunities.
    · Quantify impact of implemented supply chain initiates.
    · Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of and the ability to develop business-specific tools that analyze unique and complex business processes.
    · Designs necessary tools to support and analyze complex business processes.
    · Interprets complex data, and compares to hypotheses to accurately form conclusions providing business solutions.
    · Effectively develops documents and presents complex hypotheses and solutions to operations management.
    · Improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.
    Clinical Research:
    ·
    Assist with the development of a comprehensive research study budget.
    · Monitor research billing integrity on a continual basis; ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines for Clinical Trials Billing.
    · Additionally, this position will assist with processes in place to bill to third-party payors only for services that billing rules allow; serve as a resource person to determine financial impact of studies on hospitals for the billing system.
    · This position will be a significant resource in the development and content of the contract with investigators and study coordinators.
    New Technology
    ·
    Coordinates all requests for New Technology services requested at CH. The position will participate in the New Technology Committee and sit on all related committees such as the IRB.
    · The position will also monitor all approval New Technology requests for financial impacts.
    Government Reimbursement
    ·
    Assists with the completion of the annual cost report and corresponding audits.
    · Assists with the completion of other reimbursement related reports such as Federal and State Disportionate Share, GME reporting.
    · The position will also monitor all approval New Technology requests for financial impacts.
    REPORTS TO: Vice President of Finance

    SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)

    Education:
    ·
    Bachelors Degree Required

    Experience:
    ·
    Three (3) years of Financial experience or Data Analysis required
    · Operational experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
    ·
    Extensive use of Excel including Pivot Tables, V Look up and Macros
    · Use of PowerPoint, Visio
    · Strong knowledge of financial management
    · Good strategic planning, analytical, and organization skills
    · Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting
    · Strong written and verbal communication skills
    · Strong interpersonal and leadership skills .
