Job Title: Financial Analyst - Procurement
Department: Procurement

Reports To: Controller - Harman Procurement

Essential Responsibilities:

This position will report directly to the Controller Harman Procurement and it works collaboratively with the Harman Procurement/Finance management teams in the Infotainment, Lifestyle, and Professional divisions. The successful candidate will also interface frequently with Procurement in an effort to achieve departmental cost improvement initiatives. This position will need to coordinate across Procurement functions (Division & Category) as well as interfacing with Divisional Finance.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop financial forecasts by Division and Category as well as ad hoc analysis and management reports
• Prepare presentations and analysis for procurement management
• Support Controller, Harman Procurement in developing processes to improve financial accuracy
• Implement/improve global procurement financial processes (monthly reporting, budget vs. actual, variance analysis, cost analysis, annual setting of standard cost, etc)
• Support Divisional Controllers to ensure procurement results can be tied to the P&L
• Support procurement portion of annual business plan development (standard cost setting)
• Calculate/Validate MPV (Midyear Price Variance) & PPV (Purchase Part Variance)
• Provide supporting monthly performance reports to capture key metrics (Savings, Lean/6 Sigma, Payment Terms, etc)
• Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
• Provide continuous process improvement

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• MBA preferred
• 3-5 years Financial Analysis experience (ideally within a Procurement function)
• Understanding of compliance and internal control environment
• Advanced ERP and/or procurement systems, Excel and Power Point skills
• Experience in working with cross functional, multi cultural matrix teams
• Excellent judgment, integrity and ethics
• Good interpersonal skills
