Under the direction of the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for a various financial reports for Administration, Operation Management, and others. The analyst will manage the closing of all the PFS systems at month end and finalize all the month end financial reports for the Finance department. Develop and generate a multitude of standard and adhoc financial/statistical reports, analyze the statistical data, assist with interpreting results, and communicate financial/statistical trends to management. Additionally, develops trending reports and analyze departmental financials.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. Post-secondary education coupled with four (4) years of data analysis and financial experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 2 - 5 years of data analysis or reporting experience. Extensive knowledge of Allscripts PM preferred. Extensive knowledge of Revenue Cycle. Demonstrates excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills. Knowledge of relational database preferred and experience with data handling, retrieval, compiling and reporting. Extensive knowledge, strong abilities/fluency with Excel, Access, SQL or other analytical tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Skilled in communication and diplomacy. Possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environment. Principle Responsibilities:
Responsible for helping to derive meaningful, actionable information from a number of data repositories
Retrieve data from practice management billing systems to report monthly and mid-month key indicators. Research and report on variances from targets.
Evaluate data for reliability, accuracy and completeness.
Interpret and synthesize information reliably, thoroughly and accurately. Ask questions and seek assistance as necessary for accomplishing tasks.
Present information in a clear, concise and effective manner.
Perform data gathering, manipulation, analyzing and reporting from a variety of sources to address problems and answer questions relative to the financial and operational business.
Run daily standard & ad hoc reports from SQL or other systems for management.
Communicate effectively to both internal and external clients.
Demonstrate continuous desire to enhance skills and gain understanding of the broad range of work products produced throughout the Company.
Meet both internal and external (client determined) project deadlines.
