EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: For all nonbargaining unit positions, the following applies: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.

Typical work assignments include:
· Performs routine and recurring budget administration and financial management duties.
· Prepares preliminary budget estimates.
· Conducts detailed analyses on budgetary, accounting and financial information related to FEMAs appropriations.
You qualify for this position at the GS-07 starting salary ($42,209) level if you possess on of the following :
One full year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is described as experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access for data manipulation and merging of different data sets; conducting analytics on financial data and assisting in drawing conclusions on results and providing recommendations.
Successfully completed one full year of graduate level education, that has provided you with the knowledge, skills and ability of this position.
Successfully completed a Bachelors Degree with Superior Academic Achievement through class standing (upper third of the graduating class); grade point average (a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on 4 years of education or courses completed during the final two years; or a GPA of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on required courses in the major field; or election to membership in a national scholastic honor society.
A combination of the education and experience described above. For example, One semester of progressively higher graduate level education and six months of specialized experience.
You qualify for this position at the GS-09 starting salary ($51,630) level if you possess one of the following :
One full year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is described as experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access for data manipulation and merging of different data sets,vlookup and conditional formatting; conducting analytics on financial data and draws conclusions and providing recommendations.
A masters or equivalent degree or two full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LLB or JD, if related.
