This position is located in our India office

This position, with respect to the Global IEEE’s (GIEEE’s) business entity, handles financial, tax, accounting, and all statutory compliances and reporting. She/he is the primary liaison with the professional staff of the IEEE offices for related financial reporting, accounting, audit matters, and with the IEEE Finance & Administration staff in working to ensure compliance with IEEE’s internal procedural requirements, as well as applicable international regulations. This position resides in the GIEEE Office in Bangalore, India and is responsible for financial reports, accounting requirements, transfer of funds, internal audits, external audits and related accounting functions. He/she will work with the Financial Services (Treasury) Department regarding banking and credit card and insurance matters.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Accounting, Finance, Statutory and Tax compliance functions
- Coordination with Consultancy & Advisory Services companies
- Supporting audit functions
- Administrative function
- Handles all payment functions to vendors, employees, government entities, other sections / chapters / affiliations of IEEE and others
- Prepares of basic accounting records i.e. vouchers
- Maintains Books of Accounts as per GIEEE and the Regulatory requirements
- Coordinates with internal and statutory auditors and ensures timely compliance of all statutory obligations
- Maintains of all statutory records
- including secretarial records - Prepares & files monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual statutory returns like PF, profession tax, service tax, income tax, etc. and other requirements of Labor department, shops and establishment department, customs department, etc.
- Uses Tally or any other system as the company decides to adopt to maintain the accounts from time-to-time
- Coordinates with Banks and other financial institutions for statements, transfers, deposits, etc
- Handles shareholding and issuing of shares
- Supports Board meetings providing all required reports / data
- Validates the bills provided by employees and vendors for completeness and correctness as per laid policies / processes
- Prepares P/L statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports
- Supports various types of internal and external audits
- Handles ROC filing
- Files the following regularly to keep the company in full compliance: Service Tax, Income Tax
- TDS, Corporate TAX, Withholding Tax, Company Law etc. - General administrative functions to help run the office smoothly including but not limited to: Evaluates and engages with vendors for multiple functions; Works with vendors to ensure relevant AMCs are entered into and renewed on-time; Supports all sections, chapters and affinity groups for finance functions; Support the OUs and other duties as needed and prescribed by the Director of Operations, India

Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or related subject is desired; Commerce Graduation minimum, Advanced degrees in related fields a strong plus
- 4-8 years of experience in related industry - more experienced professional preferred; experience of working in technology companies in accounts position
- Demonstrated skills in project management, ability to plan, execute, and improve work processes is preferred
- Experience with automated financial systems including Tally or equivalent systems experience is a must
- Experience managing, coordinating, and monitoring complex processes are required
- Strong financial management skills are required
- Candidates should have knowledge of regulatory laws of business activities
- Ability to manage organizational change, solve problems, and implement processes
- International business experience and an understanding of multi-cultural environments are desired
- Should have required degrees, diplomas, association memberships such as ICWA, CA or CS and are a strong plus
- Valid passport for travel
- He/she must be technologically savvy and have a strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, Lotus Notes, Tally and Oracle; proficiency in computer usage for business and accounting purpose
