This position is the first line of sales and service contact for customers, contributing to branch profitability by promoting the organization's positive image through professional conduct and proficient application of products and services. Incumbents provide customers with all aspects of product openings, servicing, maintenance and problem resolution. Incumbents proactively seek needs based sales/referral opportunities of the organization’s financial products through relationship building with the branches customer base. Provides product and customer servicing by performing account transactions, providing information and answering routine customer inquiries. Opens new accounts for new and existing customers. Assists customers in the completion of product applications/forms. Facilitates the fulfillment of customer banking requests by assessing needs, counseling/advising and applying the appropriate product/service matches. Identifies and acts upon cross sales opportunities through servicing contacts. Responds accurately to customer inquiries for information and provides effective problem resolution as needed. Refers higher level inquiries to appropriate personnel. Under supervision, operates as the frontline sales force using various sales methods. This includes, but is not limited to, cross/relationship selling, in-and out-bound calling and supporting product marketing and promotion techniques/campaigns. Utilizes branch technology and systems effectively and efficiently. Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
High School diploma or equivalency required.
1-2 years relevant work experience required.
Certification/License: Certified FSA Program graduate within first six months. Willingness to obtain SBLI License.
Highly detail oriented with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Familiarity with bank products and services.
Ability to listen to customer needs and to inform, educate and influence customers to effectively sell appropriate products and services.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to respond to multiple ad hoc assignments or situations.
Working knowledge of personal computers and the ability to learn word processing, spreadsheet, internet and internal bank software.
