SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Oklahoma Employees Credit Union in its Mission: To guide our members to greater financial success. To achieve this mission the position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members. A key element in this service delivery is to identify the member's financial needs and recommend an appropriate Credit Union solution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
Deliver our Service Promises in every internal and external member contact.
Provide outstanding member service and contribute to overall team effort.
Perform routine member transactions. These include, but are not limited to: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, account maintenance, temporary checks, ticket sales.
Maintain and regularly balance cash and other negotiable instruments, as assigned.
Assist members in person, on the phone, or email as appropriate with general account inquires and credit union information. Resolve basic problems. Refer to other departments as appropriate.
Process and service all types of secured and unsecured consumer loans and related products, including but not limited to: GAP, VSC, CPI, and Credit Life and Disability.
Interview members to obtain all personal and financial data needed to complete loan applications. May be in person, by phone, via Internet, or through indirect channels.
Analyze member applications, including, but not limited to: financial status, credit history, debt ratios, and collateral; then make recommendations for loan decisions.
Counsel members on financial issues when appropriate.
Cross-sell credit union products and services as appropriate. Analyze potential lending opportunities involved in each lending situation to further assist members and increase the credit union loan portfolio.
Disburse loans and complete documentation accurately and efficiently.
Track applications approved, booked, denied, and cross-selling efforts. Actively follow up on pending applications.
Collect delinquent accounts on a daily basis. Determine reasons for delinquency and develop plan with members to bring account up-to-date in a timely manner.
Meet individual goals as assigned and work to meet branch and credit union goals.
Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information.
Ensure all actions are compliant with credit union policies and procedures.
Establish, maintain, and increase knowledge of credit union philosophy and services. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or four years combination of college level education and experience in similar position required.
