Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the culinary department. Assists the on duty supervisor to ensure proper food presentation and quality throughout all food outlets.
Prepares food items as directed by the Chef. Assists the Chef and kitchen staff in everyday food preparation.
Maintains a clean and safe workstation according to the standards set by the Resort, including walk in coolers and storage areas.
Responsible for ensuring good safety and health practices through out the culinary department, including emergency and security procedures.
Remains current on all Resort policies and procedures.
Maintains proper and professional relationship with all Resort Staff.
Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
Ensures that the on line prep area is fully stocked with the proper supplies.
Maintains the knowledge necessary to have proper presentation and menu content.
Complete and carryout daily assigned tasks. May be assigned special projects as they are needed.
Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
Maintains a proper and professional relation with all Resort Staff. Remains current on all Resort policy and procedures.
High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
3-5 years of cooking experience in a hospitality property or restaurant required.
Able to read and comprehend written instructions.
Ability to handl multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
Able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
Current Food Handler Certificate or Serve Safe Certificate required.
Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times (specific standards available).
