Provides fiscal support to the operational teams in a Division of Child Support Enforcement field office. Processes, reviews and analyzes a variety of data associated with child support accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for receipting, identifying, and depositing child support payments; and reconciling and adjusting financial accounts. Resolves inquiries related to account balances and payments.
Knowledge of accounting or bookkeeping principles and/or practices. Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities; to independently research cases to resolve moderately difficult problems; to interpret and apply policies and procedures; to analyze legal and financial data and reports; to perform mathematical computations and reconciliation of financial data; and to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Skill in keyboarding; use of calculators, a personal computer, spreadsheet and word processing applications; and automated information/financial systems. Customer service skills working with the general public is an office environment.
Graduation from high school or equivalent with post secondary education or training in bookkeeping, accounting and/or business.
