Contribute to the profitability of clubs by driving Personal Training sales and Member Satisfaction through the execution of standardized production methods, ISHC Sales Systems through Club Ready, and fitness staff oversight and training. The Fitness Sales Manager (FSM) is the point of reference for fitness expertise within the club.

1. Conduct FITSTART sessions for new members
2. Introduce members to the benefits of personal training
3. Sell personal training packages
4. Work in collaboration with the General Manager and Multi-unit Fitness Management (MUFM) to develop club Personal Training strategy, goals and action plans
5. Achieve monthly sales goals set forth by the Company for personal training and supplements. Frequently review daily/weekly/monthly sales numbers with GM and MUFM to identify potential revenue gaps and opportunities; modify sales plans and execution as necessary
6. Direct and manage personal trainers and Assistant Fitness Managers (AFMs) to ensure delivery of high quality fitness programs for member/clients
7. Ensure proper documentation of all member/client personal training information: accurate, complete and updated in a timely manner
8. Demonstrate In-Shape’s “sales through service” philosophy
9. Determine member/prospect goals, wants and needs; build rapport to customize sales presentation and client training programs
10. Maintain fitness areas in a clean and orderly fashion by racking dumbbells and plates; picking up towels, newspaper and debris
11. Recruit, hire and manage performance of Assistant Fitness Managers and Personal Trainers in collaboration with the GM and MUFM
12. Train and develop Assistant Fitness Managers and Personal Trainers for career advancement
13. Ensure that the fitness sales staff follows ISHC policies, procedures and sales scripts
14. Ensure daily use of Sales Systems and successfully pass monthly sales audit for both club and each individual AFM; review member/client folders to ensure proper PT documentation
15. Motivate and coach AFMs in planning and achieving goals
16. Fill in as a personal trainer in the event of a trainer no-show or as otherwise needed
17. Work closely with club Sales Manager and membership sales staff to ensure FITSTART booking targets are met
18. Attend and facilitate scheduled meetings
19. Participate in the safe operation of the club including compliance with all safety regulations, proper use of all equipment, use of personal protection equipment, timely reporting of accidents or injuries, immediately communicating with the GM about unsafe working conditions and participating in safety training and inspections
20. Lead an In-Shape lifestyle and lead by example

1. High School diploma or GED
2. Four-year degree in kinesiology, sports medicine, or other related field preferred
3. Certified Personal Training certification from a NCCA accredited program
4. Current CPR/AED certification
5. Experience in marketing and selling services
6. One-year personal training experience preferred
7. Bilingual skills a plus
8. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 45lbs
9. Basic writing and math skills, excellent communication skills, and MS Office
10. Strong motivational skills
