You the opportunity to join the US Customer Financing business within Global Credit Products (“GCP”) which provides financing and credit solutions to Credit Suisse’s top corporate credit customers and key accounts. The group executes customized credit facilities backed by middle market and directly originated corporate credit assets along with a variety of other financing structures. The team is looking for a qualified candidate to fill a key role within a growing business line within the Global Credit Products division. The candidate will perform all aspects of credit analytics including analyzing historical financial statements, preparing financial models and performing various other quantitative analyses for middle market loan assets which serve as collateral against customized credit facilities. The candidate will also work on reviewing and drafting credit agreements, assessing capital treatment for lending transactions and monitoring ongoing compliance with covenants of the group’s credit facilities.
Build financial models for various middle market companies
Build stress models and scenario analyses for various corporate asset based lending transactions
Perform capital and return analysis for each transaction and maintain models to expedite this process for future deal flows
Prepare credit memos in order to appropriately reflect potential risk to credit risk management
Prepare and comment on transaction term sheets and lead legal calls related to the structuring of credit agreements to support lending transactions
Monitor the ongoing covenant compliance of transactions and work with operations to streamline any information reporting and ongoing maintenance requirements
Liaise with Reg. Assurance, BMR, LCD, PC, SRM, APG, Operations to ensure each transactions is thoroughly vetted and fits within any pre-trade requirements
Participate with sales force in constructing effective marketing materials and term sheets for new transactions
At least three years of relevant experience as an investment banking or credit analyst
Strong Corporate Financing Background: Formal Credit training and lending experience preferred
Excellent quantitative and analytical experience
Strong communication and organization skills; excellent attention to detail
Financial Modeling proficiency and superior excel skills
Knowledgeable about the fundamentals of credit agreements and related documents also a plus
Series 7 and 63 preferred; otherwise the candidate will be required to pass these exams upon starting
