We are seeking a Qualified Master Level Technician to lead and supervise other technicians in our Fleet Operations in the Manchester Connecticut area. The selected candidates must be a strong leader that is self-motivated with good communication and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to drive numerous types of vehicles, and establish effective working relationships with Department Managers, Supervisors, Drivers and also Vendors. The candidate will also facilitate minor to major repairs on Fleet vehicles and equipment; prepare and upfit new vehicles entering the fleet; assist in daily operations to ensure quality service and repairs are performed.
Any combination level of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma/GED or higher with some specialized training in Vehicle Fleet Management, 5-10 years of automotive diagnosis and repair, or Automotive Certifications (ASE, DOT, Aerial, Manufacturer, etc). Must be able to diagnose and repair cars to medium duty trucks, aerial booms, generators, gas and diesel engines, electrical and hybrid systems, hydraulics, brakes, drivetrain, and other essential systems. Computer skills is a must.
We also have a variety of positions open from entry-level to "A" level technicians. Technical training with Fords, GM, MB preferred. We have the same diagnostic equipment and publications of a dealer and can perform in-house warranty. Must have own tools!
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and record. A successful completion of Substance/Drug Screening, Background Investigation, and Criminal History Check. Routine exposure to vehicle maintenance activities and hazards.
