Job Description
Ensure necessary Level product focus within a sales area to achieve or exceed target levels of customer satisfaction and financial performance.

B.S. degree in Engineering or related field. Seven (7) years of industry experience; four (4) of which must be in sales or marketing.

  • Area Product Sales Leadership. Grow flow business at RMT accounts. Promote Rosemount Flow capabilities – DP, Mag, Vortex and Coriolis. Assists in providing training to sales personnel to ensure levels of product/application expertise exist. Communicate and facilitate implementation of divisional sales strategies within a sales area. Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution. Provide direction on target accounts based on divisional segmentation strategies. Provide input on sales person product knowledge and sales performance. Maintain and communicate knowledge of competitor, strategies, and products. Spend at least 50%+ of time traveling with sales persons and face-to-face with customers. Suggest appropriate candidates for divisional partnerships. Provide pricing guidance for major projects. Evaluate ADC opportunities to grow the business.
  • Product Line Planning. Provide feedback to divisions on products. Provide input to decisions on product competitiveness. Suggest new products and/or enhancement to existing products. Coordinate new product field testing within assigned area. Coordinate new product introductions and training.
  • Strategic Planning Input. Coordinate factory resources needed for the area. Provide input on major competitor strategies within assigned area. Identify regional market opportunities for measurement products. Contribute to market segment definition and establishment of divisional position within a segment. Communicate and support divisional strategies within area. Provide ongoing feedback on success of strategy implementation.
  • General Business Support. Monitor pricing and discounting. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement. Ensure divisional quality plans are understood and followed.

    Job Requirement
    Area Technical Sales Leadership:
    • Grow flow business at MMI/ RFD accounts.
    • Be the Area subject matter expert on Rosemount Flow products (magmeter & vortex) and Micro Motion products (flow, density and viscosity).
    • Assists in providing training to sales personnel to ensure levels of product/ application expertise exist.
    • Communicate and facilitate implementation of divisional sales strategies within each responsible sales area.
    • Participate in project pursuit and account penetration planning and execution.
    • Provide input to Area Sales management on account manager’s product knowledge and sales performance.
    • Provide direction on target accounts based on divisional segmentation strategies
    • Maintain and communicate knowledge of competitors, their strategies and products
    • Spend at least 50% +/- of time working directly with account managers and face-to-face with customers
    • Provide pricing guidance for major projects, agreement development and renewal and competitive penetration opportunities
    • Make customer technical presentations
    • Develop relationships with customer’s Flow SME’s
    Product Line Planning:
    • Provide feedback to divisions on products
    • Provide input to divisions on product competitiveness
    • Suggest new products and/or enhancement to existing products
    • Coordinate new product field testing within assigned area
    • Coordinate new product introductions and training within assigned area
    Strategic Planning Input:
    • Provide input and help identify area and regional market opportunities for Flow, Density and Viscosity products
    • Communicate and support divisional strategies within area
    • Provide divisions on-going feedback on success of strategy implementation
    • Contribute and support divisional strategies within area
    General Business Support
    • Monitor pricing and discounting within assigned area
    • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and provide specific recommendations for improvement
    • Ensure divisional quality plans are understood and followed
    • Work closely with the Area Sales Management team to provide flow expertise and council (Flow Bench Coach)
