The Food Service Host performs a variety of dietary functions including daily meal service in the hospital. Responsible for communicating daily menu to the patient; helping the patient decide on their menu order and entering that into the health touch computer; understanding and communicating diet order restrictions to patients; getting patients ready by communicating with them and clearing bed side tables. Delivers patient trays to patients; greets and communicates with patients and provides the highest level of service. Delivers and returns food carts to and from kitchen; delivers and puts away floor stock; regularly demonstrates knowledge of diets; helps empty food carts and wash dishes. Performs other duties as assigned and may perform work of similar positions in the department such as tray line server or cafeteria server.
Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred. Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Experience: One year of related experience is required. Three years prior Health Care or Hospitality Industry experience preferred.
EMPLOYMENT WITH TMH IS CONTINGENT UPON THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A DRUG SCREEN, CRIMINAL HISTORY SEARCH AND HEALTH ASSESSMENT.
Hiring Range-- $7.92-$9.31 per hour
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
