Hourly Wage: $13.40


Part time, regular position, 30 hours per week, 5 days per week. Daily work hours are 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Employee insures the safe preparation and delivery of noontime meals to very young children and staff in five locations on Campus. Employee will order and purchase needed ingredients based on preplanned menus, cook meals in accordance with Children’s Center and USDA Child Care Food Program guidelines and requirements, and deliver meals to program areas. Employee is responsible for kitchen safety and sanitization.

Qualifications: Knowledge of basic nutrition to include accepted stock rotation procedures; ability to manage time and meet daily deadlines; knowledge of sanitation requirement for food preparation areas; ability to prepare large quantities of food on a daily basis; ability to maintain detailed data on food purchases and amounts of food prepared; ability to communicate effectively; ability to lift up to 25 pounds; A valid Maine driver’s license and daily use of personal vehicle is required.
