General Directive:
Responsible for all land management operations within assigned area of Hancock Forest Management, Inc. (HFM) Southern Division. These tasks are to be performed in a team environment involving region and division personnel. This position is located in Hope, Arkansas.

Develop and maintain a strong relationship with HFM Harvesting Foresters and Technicians

Knowledgeable in areas of surveying, title records, inventory and mapping systems, and contract coordination

Proficient in all aspects of land management operations to include stewardship, silviculture, road maintenance and construction, reforestation, inventory, environmental management, and contractor relations

Familiarity with timberland budget procedures and accounting

Knowledgeable of Sustainable Forestry Initiative ('SFI') objectives and standards

Specific Duties:
Annual client and HFM budget preparation and forecasting

Assist Harvesting Foresters and Technicians as needed to ensure Wood Supply Agreements are met

Assume lead role in providing timely inventory and mapping system updates to Resource Information Foresters (RIF) to ensure superior data quality

Provide support in region based stewardship activities, Hancock Timber Resource Group policy compliance and SFI compliance

Administer contracts dealing with land management operations

Assume lead role in prescribing, scheduling, conducting, and completing reforestation activities

Perform lead role in prescribing, scheduling, conducting, and completing silvicultural activities

Insure client fiduciary responsibilities are maintained

Assist as needed with hunting lease administration

Represent HFM in a professional manner to general public, industry, associations, and regulatory entities

Provide project specific plats and locator maps as needed for planned land management activities

Actively participate in and promote HFM Southern Divisions Safety Program

Special projects as needed and assigned

Uphold highest fiduciary standards to all clients of HFM

Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Forestry, or equivalent experience

0 - 5 years of operational experience

Self motivation

Demonstrate strong computer aptitude

Must be a team player

Strong communication skills

Customer service orientation
