Summary

Provide safe transportation and storage of all ingredients, packaging and finished goods through the entire facility. Drive forklift to load, unload, and store food products, equipment, or materials.

3rd shift - 12:00 am - 8:30 am

Essential Functions

Per established Standard Operating Procedures, receive vendor purchase orders, receive and transfer interplant product, locate product in storage locations, pick truckload and LTL orders in FIFO sequence, load truckload and LTL carriers.

Perform inventory counts and verification as required.

Apply QA placards to product and remove when released.

Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.

Observe all safety rules and regulations for self and others.

Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport load to designated area.

Load and unload trucks in a timely manner.

Complete forklift inspection process and documentation prior to the start of the shift.

Resolve any quality issues with Quality Assurance department.

Use stretch wrap machine to wrap finished products.

Review and complete all related paperwork for inventory and tracking purposes using the designated forms, PC and bar-coding equipment as required.

Follow Good Manufacturing Processes procedures at all times.

Remove finished goods from production lines in a timely manner.

Provide back up support to production as needed.

Maintain the shipping, cooler, freezer and storage areas in a clean condition at all times.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent and six continuous months of forklift related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
