AHS is seeking a candidate that will manage all Direct Response Programs to secure annual gifts up to $999 (General gift donors). Programs include direct mail, telemarketing, online gifts and gifts through social media channels. He/She will also manage cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of gifts ranging from $1,000 to $9,999 (special gift donors). This will include a Special gift Donor Stewardship Program that organizes volunteers to call and thank special donors. As part of the annual campaign, the Director will also organize the solicitation of the medical staff and administrators (who are not qualified by the Major Gifts team) and hospital employees. The Director of Annual Giving will oversee relationships with vendors involved in the direct mail, telemarketing and social media programs. This includes a Major gift Prospects Qualifications Call Program with a goal of yielding 150+ major and planned gifts prospects per year with the capacity and inclination to be major donors. As part of this effort the Director of Annual Giving will oversee the Campaign’s Nucleus Fund Committee comprised of 11 members charged with raising funds from the Boards of Trustees, Medical Staff leadership, and Senior Administrators with a gift capacity up to $499,999 (now and throughout most of 2013). In 2014 he/she will coordinate the solicitation of physicians and group practices capable of multi-year pledges up to $99,000. And, in 2015 during the Campaign’s Wrap-up Phase, he/she will manage the solicitation of all General gift prospects (up to $999), among former patients and Medical Center employees.The successful candidate will be a member of the Foundation’s senior staff, and will be responsible for managing a program budget, performance benchmarks, operating schedule and cost-per-dollar raised. Candidate will have a shared administrative assistant. A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university is required. A minimum of five years of progressive responsible fundraising and/or relevant experience including direct mail, telemarketing, online giving and other social media channels required. This is a full-time position with 9am-5pm shift available.
