Job Description
Winston is looking for a talented Visual Merchandiser to
join our field team and assist with projects on a
freelance basis. In this position the Merchandise
Coordinator will be responsible for driving sales
through in-store visual merchandising of well known
brands within different retail locations. This person
should have a flexible schedule and be available to
support both short term (one day of work) and/or long
term projects. Hours will vary from month to month
depending upon business needs.
This is a great opportunity for a talented freelancer
looking to expand upon their experience and gain
exposure to a variety of large name brands/retailers.

Preferred Experience:
1. 3+ years of retail, wholesale or branded apparel
2. Department Store experience
3. Previous work as a Retail Coordinator or Regional
at an Apparel/Beauty/Accessories/Footwear Company
4. Experience working as a freelancer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Merchandising of shop space utilizing brand

merchandising guidelines/planograms:
A. Ensure compelling, accurate, and creative visual
presentations are executed & maintained
B. Dress and style mannequins when applicable
C. Manage inventory through stock replenishment
D. Implement all point of sale materials and any
branding collateral
2. Communicate accomplishments at the department and

door level to Winston and the Client:
A. Completion of standard/specialized reports (as
directed), highlighting any call outs, missed
opportunities and feedback as directed by the report
B. Take before and after photos to showcase visual
accomplishments of the store visit
3. Build & maintain in-store relationships to maximize

opportunities at retail:
A. Train Sales Associates/Specialists/Department and
Visual Managers on client merchandising standards,
product & brand knowledge and seasonal initiatives
B. Inspire store staff through a “lead by example”
approach of providing top level customer service and
sales support
C. Negotiate better shop locations or maintain locations
as appropriate
D. Partner with Store Management and Sales Staff to
assess areas of opportunity and ways to effectively
drive business forward

Key Characteristics of candidate:
This candidate must be a self starter, well organized,
with excellent communication, interpersonal and follow
up skills. This candidate must work well independently
and be a team player. Must be able to adapt to change
regularly and be motivated by working with different
brands and product categories. This candidate must be
able to handle a schedule that shifts month to month
depending on the projects that are available.
