POSITION SUMMARY

The Front Office Supervisor is an ambassador of Honua Kai Resort & Spa, representing the company’s core values and service standards and is “The First and Last Impression” of all owner/guest experiences. The Front Office Supervisor assists the department managers in leading, training, and mentoring all associates to meet company and department goals; thereby ensuring the highest quality of service is being offered to all owners/guests in an efficient and professional manner with the “Aloha Spirit.”

The ideal candidate will:

a) Be available and willing to work when scheduled; this may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

b) Take pride in presenting a professional image; wear proper uniform, including nametag, and adhere to company grooming and personal appearance policy.

c) Understand the importance of and demonstrate Honua Kai Resort & Spa’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Service Standards.

d) Be self-motivated, willing to learn new skills, and able to resolve common guest/owner and associate issues.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an all-inclusive list)
  • Supervise the associates and the operations of the front office department; acting as Manager on Duty “MOD” in the absence of the Front Office Manager and Guest Services Manager.
  • Be knowledgeable of and able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the Front Desk, night audit, PBX, and Bell/Valet associates.
  • Be available and able to assist the front desk, bell valet, PBX, and night audit staff with their daily duties.
  • Assist department managers as requested, for example with schedules, payroll, monthly meetings, creating and planning new ideas.
SUMMARY OF DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (This is not an all-inclusive list)

Experience:

a) Front desk experience required, may substitute with comparable hospitality experience

b) Two years of supervisory or management experience (preferred)

Licenses and/or certifications:

a) Requires current, valid driver’s license without limitations resulting from legal processes, including citations. May not have more than 1 “at fault” accident, 3 minor violations (i.e., speeding tickets), and/or 1 major violation (i.e., reckless driving, DUI, DWAI) in the past 3 years.
