Location

The St. Regis Aspen is located on the Western Slope of the majestic Rocky Mountains, approximately 3 hours from Denver. The resort is in the heart of downtown Aspen amidst world class entertainment, dining, shopping and of course winter sport activities. Although known primarily as a ski resort, the Roaring Fork Valley offers year round events that includes: art, music, intellectual pursuits and a variety of sporting activities; hiking, biking, rafting, paragliding, fishing and more. Aspen is a true year round resort!

Our Front Desk, Guest Services, Luggage Assistance, Valet and Concierge associates play a crucial role in the success of our hotel. Their commitment to our guest’s satisfaction and loyalty are key to the success of our service profit chain. The guest experience begins and ends with this team.

Job Description

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information. Promote the Starwood Preferred Guest Program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members. Accept payment for guests’ accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily. Cash checks and exchange currency for guests. Issue key to and control entrance of safety deposit boxes. Post miscellaneous charges as requested. Cover Guest services/PBX when need in order to meet productivity demands. Operating the phone system is an essential element of the daily operations. Proper phone etiquette is required. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree or equivalent education required. Two to three years in a Front Desk role. All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per St. Regis standards. The strongest candidates will have excellent verbal and written English language skills as well as prior experience in the preferred line of business.
