The function of this position is to manage the daily operations of a medical practice managed by WestCare Health System.
Duties and responsibilities include setting priorities, evaluating and insuring the daily work flows smoothly in the medical reception areas, to include check-in and check-out. Maintains current data on system for accurate patient information and practice operations; maintains master physician schedule on the scheduling system.
Performs Human Resources functions (interviewing, hiring, disciplinary actions), performance appraisals of staff (30 day, 90 day and annual) and makes recommendations for staffing needs. Responsible for budget and fiscal reporting. Works with materials management and vendors to insure best pricing available is attained.

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
Education : High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in applicable field is strongly desired.
Work experience: Minimum three years experience working in a physician’s practice preferred. Prefer one year managerial experience in a similar setting.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required: Must have the ability to work independently, have strong oral skills, good basic math skills and be computer literate. Must have the ability to make sound and evaluative judgements, strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
Working knowledge of cash management principles and/or procedures. Proficient with MS Office (word, excel, power point), with a focus on Excel.
Must have the ability to work independently, have strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people teams, managers, supervisors, vendors and physicians. Encourages teamwork, energetic and motivates teams and individuals.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of time sitting and walking, bending and stooping may be required. Ability to do repetitive work, keyboarding and writing. Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
