eBay is seeking such a talented Front-end Web Developer to join our Business to Consumer Selling team. You will be innovating and enhancing the sellers experience by making it easier for them to on-board and manage their inventory more easily and effectively. You will also work on making our eBay stores more socially connected commerce.

The Business-to-Consumer (B2C) engineering team builds hosted software web products & services to enable B2C sellers to on-board & manage their inventory in eBay marketplace easily and more effectively. The software also provides automated guidance to make products visible and searchable for consumers to purchase the items listed.

What will you do?
Create rich, next-generation UI for large scale, distributed web applications You will design and implement highly interactive, efficient, context driven user interfaces, reusable and flexible UI components using Object-oriented JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Java and HTML. You will tackle challenges of fixing browser-specific problems and site speed issues. Own the end-to-end product from design to implementation, including the responsibilities for code roll-out and responding to customer issues. Design and implement highly interactive, context driven user interface for all eBay's Seller pages. You will come up with elegant solutions to help buyers discover items they are looking for. Segment and design layers to support componentized and layered presentation development, including user interface, business functionality, and search engine access. Diagnose problems or desired improvements to current user interface to improve buyer experience and user satisfaction.


Must be eligible to work in the US, no 3rd parties.

What are we looking for?
This position requires a passion for improving the Seller's experience, a willingness to go the last mile, and an attitude of doing what it takes!

3+ years of experience in developing highly interactive web applications that work across browsers Experience defining, designing, and implementing User Interfaces for large scale systems Expert-level experience with DHTML (advanced JavaScript, Jquery, Ajax, CSS 2/3, HTML 4/5, DOM). Strong experience and grasp of user interface fundamentals, site speed or performance tuning, memory usage optimization. Strong Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, problem solving skills) and passion for problem solving. OO programming skills in Java (be able to read, modify and debug not make architectural changes), Spring Able to diagnose and fix performance and scalability issues Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Websphere etc... Superior communications skills, both verbal and written. Bachelor in Computer Science
