The District Sales Manager is primarily responsible for achieving the sales objectives in a territory while operating within the Company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains an efficient and effective sales force within the territory.
Recommends specific sales strategies to capitalize on territorial opportunities and competitive threats.
Evaluates Sales Representatives performance against sales objectives and develops a profile of each Sales Representative.
Provides training and development support to Sales Representatives.
Provides day-to-day selling and support to largest clients within the territory.
Recruits, selects, hires and trains Sales Representatives as required.
Determines Sales Representatives needs and recommends specific programs to upper management/human resources.
Assures compliance with Adva Med and Smith & Nephew Sales, Marketing & Promotional Practices Policy; adhere to the Industry & business code of ethics adapted by Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics.
Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or related field.
Requires background in medical sales and/or management - minimum 5 years of experience. Familiarity with the local medical community.
