Danaher's BOLD (Business Operations Leadership Development) Program provides outstanding Supply Chain and Engineering graduates a program that quickly develops the essential Danaher Business System (DBS) and Supply Chain/ Engineering foundational skills necessary to become a successful Operations Leader in our company and in today's world.

Our goal is to provide these tools to all employees including our BOLD associates. We believe the best way to learn DBS and hands-on leadership is through real-world experience.
Our BOLD Program offers you a chance to experience a variety of roles and positions. Here is a sampling of assignments that are available in our Business Operations Leadership Development Program.
You will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of materials required for daily production. Taking an under-performing cell, which has delivery problems, and stabilizing the schedule by using level-loading tools and/or applying the Danaher setup wheel, is core to the achievement of a benchmark manufacturing process. As a planner, you'll learn the basics of the Danaher Materials Process (Kanban Management) and will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the process to minimize inventory levels while ensuring availability. Basic use of various ERP/MRP systems will also be learned. Understanding the impact of other Supply Chain Management activities (i.e. low cost region sourcing, auctions, buying, part transition and quality, etc.) on inventory will be a key take-away.
You will be involved in procuring raw material/supplies and strategically aligning suppliers. The BOLD associate will be assigned to a commodity or value stream at a Danaher plant and will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of material to support daily needs. The BOLD associate will negotiate price and delivery and will issue purchase orders to qualifi ed suppliers. As a Buyer, you may also be involved
in strategic initiatives such as supplier selection and preferred supplier development. The BOLD associate will be tasked with developing bid packages (forecasts, drawings, and technical specifi cations), identifying qualifi ed suppliers and completing an online bidding event using Danaher's tool set.
Our Production Engineers are the focal point of the manufacturing process as they interact with all of the internal support functions and external resources to ensure the production process is streamlined and maintained without interruption. Typical responsibilities include:
ownership of plant/cell layout and designs, implementation of flow/standard work, design for fi xturing/tooling, supplier sourcing/qualification, capacity planning and working with Design Engineering for "design for manufacturability."
Production Team Leader
BOLD associates in this leadership role are responsible for managing both the production process and the skilled dedicated workforce that puts the product out the door every day. The BOLD associate will be responsible for building the best team, training the associates on standard manufacturing processes and ensuring all Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) and DBS initiatives are met and sustained.
Danaher Business System Leader (DBSL)
The DBS Leader helps lead DBS initiatives at each location and is instrumental in ensuring continuous improvement and sustainability of all of our DBS activity. Typical responsibilities include: planning, leading and verifying sustainability of Kaizen activity, principally in Manufacturing; working with various Operations Leaders on improving the manufacturing and transactional processes using the DBS toolkit as well as
creating and improving visual management to ensure the organization has immediate feedback on the performance of their manufacturing cell. As a DBS Leader, you will partner with Operations on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) initiatives.

To qualify for this program, you must possess:
An undergraduate degree in engineering or supply chain management
A minimum GPA of 3.0 and relevant manufacturing/supply chain internship experience
