• Demonstrates ability to communicate through technology and utilize college course management system and FIT portal.
• Highly active participant in the fashion industry with a demonstrated knowledge of fashion merchandising concepts including: buying, planning, marketing, team building, omni-channel merchandising, supply chain management, licensing/branding, product development.
• Active engagement in the profession in both scholarly and vocational activities.
• Demonstrates willingness to share industry contacts and opportunities to help achieve department and college initiatives.
• The ability to effectively speak on behalf of the department and/or college with industry supporters.
• Creates and maintains a network of alumni and industry experts who can be called upon as resources for course and curriculum development, guest speakers, internships, and placement opportunities for students.

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of seven (7) years as an executive in the fashion industry.

• Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Master’s degree strongly preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who possess several or all of the above listed qualifications.
