Responsibilities:
As a MSS Supervisor, you will be accountable to the Branch Manager for the overall performance of the teller line, including member service training, goal setting, performance driving, accuracy, audits, and coaching. Provide operational and member service training to Member Service Specialists. Ensure a favorable image and climate for the Member Service Specialist team.

The primary job duties of the MSS Supervisor are as follows:

  • Ability to perform all Member Service Specialist duties.
  • Assign, direct and coordinate work of all MSS staff within the department. Coordinating lunches and breaks of the MSS staff.
  • Assure all individual cash drawers are balanced on a daily basis and the quality and quantity of work is kept at a high standard.
  • Train new team members. Assure proper training is being administered when performed by others.
  • Complete annual performance appraisals.
  • Hold regular coaching sessions to provide improved performance from MSS team.
  • Conduct periodic audits of the MSS drawers and report any irregularities to the Store Manager.
  • Hold weekly meetings with the MSS staff to discuss changes in the procedures, policies and new services.
  • Keep Store Manager informed of member needs or desires in regard to products and services.
  • Involvement in the hiring of new MSS team members.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate must have a College Degree or equivalent experience, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to supervise other team members. Must possess good written and oral communication skills, accuracy in all areas of work and have the ability to maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union records.     Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.) Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies (copy paper, computer paper, mail, etc). Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers. Reach keyboards. Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc).
