Develops and maintains a research funding opportunities infrastructure for the university using web-based technologies and tools. Advises faculty and staff of researching funding opportunities and supports the small grants selection committee.
From $41,600 To $62,400 Annually

Specific Job Related Duties
Perform Searches on demand for funding in SPIN, FC Search, and other on-line databases
Demonstrate use of SPIN to large and small groups as well as individually
Maintain Grantwatch cumulative lists for fiscal year on web
Compile, edit and send funding opportunity announcements to research community via listserv
Edit and send notices on changes in grant policies and other news affecting grants
Maintain and monitor subscriptions
Monitor and maintain the public email folder
Edit and design brochures
Monitor the USES database
Administrator for SMARTS GENIUS in InfoED system
Plan and present lectures and workshops on funding, using SPIN InfoEd, using NIH website and other topics as needed or requested.
Preferred Work Experience
Able to identify and cultivate funding opportunities for the research community using agency websites, mailing lists, various databases, federal publications and other resources.
Maintains funding opportunity e-mail distribution list for researchers to disburse information on grant programs, policy changes and upcoming program deadlines.
Experience interacting with faculty to promote research opportunities and the use of InfoEd SMARTS GENIUS and SPIN, facilitating membership and providing training sessions as needed.
