License/Certification/Education: Normally a B.A./B.S. in Biology or relatable life science to include completion of 16 credit hours of Biology, 16 credit hours of Chemistry, and 3 credit hours of math.
The Occupational Testing Services division is seeking a Technologist to join their GC/MS team! This position will have third shift hours from 10:00 PM-8:30 AM, Friday-Monday.
This position performs laboratory procedures in an entry-level capacity in accordance with standard procedures. Will perform maintenance, run analyses on donor urine and ensure forensic acceptability of data, other duties as requested by management. Must have a through understanding of quality control practices and procedures;the review, interpreatation, and reporting of test results;maintenance of chain-of-custody;and the proper remedial action to be taken in response to aberrant test systems, quality control, and test results. Will operate and provide preventative maintenance for GC/MS instruments. Will include training and remaining current on lab SOPs.
Prefer 1-2 years GC/MS experience which includes monthly and periodic maintenance tasks and instrument troubleshooting. Chemical extraction experience also desirable.
