Provide instruction to specialized exercise classes as determined by Fitness Supervisor. Promote center membership, programs, and services.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Physical Education or other related discipline preferred.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Basic computer operational skills preferred. Excellent communication and customer service related skills required. Ability to work variable hours as necessary. Possess a professional attitude and appearance. Capable of maintaining positive ongoing communications with clients and staff. LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: Group Exercise Certification from ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine), ACE (American Council on Exercise), NSCA (National Sports and Conditioning Association), NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), IFA (International Fitness Association), or other related and accredited organization required. Aqua certification preferred to teach aqua exercise programs (American Red Cross, AEA, Arthritis Foundation, etc.). Lifeguard certification preferred. Group Cycling Certification preferred (Mad Dog, Cycle Reebok, Keiser, etc). BLS and CPR required. For new hires and transferring employees, certification will be obtained during orientation if necessary. Professional liability insurance preferred.
