The GSIN project involves working with stakeholders in various mission areas, including Missile Defense, Missile Warning, Space, SSA, and ISE. The work includes the generation and sustainment of agreed upon standard data formats and common data schemas for multiple mission areas. This includes sustainment of Missile Warning and Missile Defense schemas, support for Government requested generation of governance guidelines across all mission areas between data providers and consumers, schema configuration management, and supplying data for various visualization tools.
Duties of the Intelligence Support include but are not limited to:
Research of ISR capabilities, data formats, and data exposure concepts, and architectures to support delivery of a Net-centric capability for specific system(s), and collaborate with internal and external agencies on GSIN related subject matter. All tasks will be accomplished with regular GSIN government interaction and oversight.
Perform in depth technical research of ISR requirements and provide recommendations to the Government on requirements not being met by existing Programs of Record.
Document the requirements as necessary to capture ISR mission areas, with an emphasis in measurement and signature intelligence (MSAINT) capabilities.
Generate and coordinate GSIN documents and maintain documents with updates as they become available. Assist, gather and coordinate required information for documents from appropriate staff offices.
Interpret and document the context related to external agencies’ operational data and limitations that need to be considered when communicating with unanticipated organizations and systems.
Provide operational perspective into research and development activities regarding data standard, formats and web services in support of GSIN data schema(s).
Work directly with Software, Data and Systems Engineers in modifying and maintaining schemas, common data formats, and GSIN architectures. Identify other SMEs disparate data formats and identify appropriate tools / processes for data mediation.
Work with other USG agencies and stakeholders to integrate their inputs, and help integrate GSIN efforts with other combatant commanders.
Propose, analyze, and support the development of GSIN related policy and review documents for planning impacts.
Post, edit and maintain appropriate content on the division’s network websites/portals in support of GSIN efforts.
