Anki is seeking a Game AI Engineer to work on our AI features, as well as iterating with designers and producers on gameplay features. This position will be working to solve complex AI problems that are unique in the world of games; the person filling the role will need to approach these problems with creativity and flexibility. They will have worked on at least one shipped game title, and have experience working as part of a mid-size engineering team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the implementation of core AI systems and features.
Develop process around AI systems including AI debugging tools
Work closely with design team to understand AI requirements
Develop and maintain game engine codebase
Use fast prototyping to test new game features
As a member of the team, implement a maintainable code base
Excellent C/C++ design and programming skills
Strong experience as an AI engineer in video games
Experience in the design and implementation of game systems, including AI and navigation systems, UI, and game object management
Experience with memory management, multi-threading, and a working knowledge of 3D math
Knowledge of design patterns and code architecture
Strong gameplay and logic coding skills
Very strong troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization skills
Strong math skills
Familiarity with dishwasher emptying techniques a plus
Familiar with the test driven development practice/environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
