Gasification Team Leader - Mechanical
        . This position will provide supervision, performance management, and coordination of the work activities for a multi-skilled covered and non-covered workforce. Lead the maintenance, repair and evaluation of all plant equipment. Coordinate with others to schedule work ensuring that materials and equipment are available, personnel are scheduled and clearance with other work groups have been made. Ensure that regulatory requirements and budget goals are met. JOB REQUIREMENTS Possess four year degree, a technical degree or have extensive maintenance experience (10 years minimum) in a chemical plant or refinery operations, steam turbine operations, combustion turbines or related processes - required Extensive experience maintaining pumps, compressors, valves, refractory lined vessels, high pressure solids handling equipment in aforementioned industrial setting - required Knowledge of 4 week planning process, outage coordination, MAXIMO, Primavera, purchasing, capital and O&M budget processes, IBEW contract - required. Strong performance management experience - required Knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 - preferred Knowledge of condition based maintenance activities (vibration and oil analysis) - preferred Project management experience - preferred Must be flexible, forward-thinking and strategic-minded to fit the future needs of the plant Role model in Southern Style. Self-motivated, customer-focused, and having an excellent ability to work well with and develop teams. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure that all work is done in a safe and efficient manner maintaining a Target Zero mindset. Support development of a multi skilled covered and non covered workforce including Operations, Maintenance, and Instrumentation. Coach team members through Performance Management in an effort to develop the skills and behaviors necessary to succeed. Monitor work assignments and skill level of employees to ensure productivity goals are met. Must possess solid computer skills, organizing and implementation skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills. Leads the design and installation of new equipment and the retrofit of existing equipment. Stays abreast of the state of the art technology, equipment innovations, unit operations and maintenance procedures. Provide feedback to management regarding problems associated with plant equipment. Conduct investigations and RCAs to determine causes of trips and similar events and, when appropriate, develop measures to avoid reoccurrence. BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle complex, pressure situations and be adaptable to a changing work environment. Must be able to support a 24/7 schedule, including holiday and back shift work when necessary. Must exhibit behaviors that are described in Southern Style.
