This is a position for a General Mechanic who will primarily be responsible for the 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm shift coverage, monitoring a BAS, responding to alarms, performing campus tours, and performing PM.
Must be able to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. Primary responsibility is to assist with the Stationary Engineers servicing and repairing equipment. Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting floors, steps, sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, etc; as well as assist other trades when needed. Able to work any shift – Weekends & Holidays and/or other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
Current enrollment or certificate of completion from HVAC or Electrical technical school accepted in lieu of experience and is preferred. Two (2) years of maintenance experience with technical HVAC aptitude. BAS monitoring experience is a plus.
