The function of this position is to sort and to screen for accuracy and completeness license to purchase and pistol sales record information received as well as enter, update, verify, and file all information added to the corresponding databases. This position also assists law enforcement and private citizens on basic gun laws and procedures. This position is responsible for processing the Gun Board meeting minutes and operation of the section Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) station. This position also performs several duties in an educational capacity: guiding agencies in the operation of the Automated Pistol Registration System (APRS) and the Concealed Pistol License (CPL) database; conducting audits on automated records and researching for correct data; and assisting agencies in criminal investigations.
Required Education and Experience:
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
