Full-service distributor of power generation systems has an opening for a GENERATOR/SALES REPRESENTATIVE for its Dearborn, MI territory. Because our customers are seeking power generation solutions for paralleling and off-grid energy needs, experience in related industries such as commercial electrical contracting or electrical power generation is beneficial. Previous experience selling energy solutions is a definite plus. Founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1912, the W. W. DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsbilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Identifies and compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, internet research, and other sourcesTravels by car through assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers to develop and/or maintain strong relationships, and to solicit business arrangements.Inspects potential customers' power generation equipment to determine scope of replacing and identifying new equipment needs. Prepares and discusses contract proposals with prospective customers, emphasizing the features and benefits of using our company.Maintains and updates all customer, activity and opportunity data in CRM system (Saleslogix).Provides training for new products or services to customers' personnel when requested by customer.Looks for and reports opportunities for selling other Williams products and services to appropriate sales function for follow-up.Represents our company at industry functions, trade shows and events.Submits required sales forms, reports and itinerary on a timely basis.Performs special assignments as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job succesfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manauls. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Driver's License in good standing.
