DESCRIPTION

Full-service distributor of engines, transmissions and power generation systems has an opening for a GENERATOR SERVICES SALES REPRESENTATIVE in its Cincinnati, Ohio territory, representing the maintenance and service capabilities offered by our Midwest Onsite Energy Group. The successful candidate will have significant experience in sales that include new business development, customer retention through solid relationships, and consultative technical support. This experience is most beneficial when acquired in Power Generation and/or Engine Repair industry. Founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1912, the W. W. DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsbilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Identifies and compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, internet research, and other sourcesTravels by car through assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers to develop and/or maintain strong relationships, and to solicit business arrangements and contracts.Inspects potential customers' power generation equipment to determine scope of maintenance work for quoting purposes and to develop an equipment profile detailing specific replacement components used in the performance of a maintenance service.Prepares and discusses contract proposals with prospective customers, emphasizing the features and benefits of using our company as their service provider.Maintains and updates all customer, activity and opportunity data in CRM system (Saleslogix).Monitors existing contract expirations date to discuss with customer and prepare contract renewals in a timely manner.Using SalesLogix and the phone, maintains a well planned schedule of contact with current and prospective customers.Monitors the performance of maintenance service to customers' equipment per the contracts and follows up with the customer to assure complete satisfaction, resolving any problems identified.Prepares and discusses quotations for requested repairs or repairs identified during maintenance service, following up with customer to gain approval to proceed.Provides training for new products or services to customers' personnel when requested by customer or New Product Sales Group.Leverages relationships with current generator services customers to seek out leads for new unit sales, forwarding these leads to the New Product Sales Group.Looks for and reports opportunities for selling other Williams products and services to appropriate sales function for follow-up.Represents our company at industry functions, trade shows and events.Pursues new avenues and strategies that help develop increased sales into market areas that are not traditional. Submits required sales forms, reports and itinerary on a timely basis.Performs special assignments as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Driver's License in good standing.
