Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Genetics Counselor/Registered Nurse to work directly with one of our clients. This is temporary position that will be covering MI. The Position will support the patient-focused mission by providing Fabry disease information and support to patients and families affected by Fabry disease and limited discussion on product for which company provides a treatment option. They will collaborate with the regional Liaison and assist in maintaining, strong working relationships with healthcare professionals. They will work collaboratively with numerous internal cross-functional groups to help facilitate and optimize patient care. The objectives are dictated by the specific needs in the assigned territory and thus the percentage of time spent on each job responsibility may vary. Job responsibilities:
Communication and coordination of Fabry disease and limited product information to patients and families through telephone communication live one-on-one meetings, and multi-patient meetings.
Active member of cross functional team and participates in discussions on individual patient barriers to optimal health and development of strategies and tactics to address them
Collaborates with Liaisons to coordinate and meet the needs of the regional Fabry patients
Works in partnership with regional commercial team members
Completes administrative reports and Fabry projects in a timely fashion in collaboration with regional liaison
Consistently and accurately documents pertinent information in database
Maintains Fabry expertise through preceptorships, and review of key journals, and successful completion of internal training programs
Ensures full compliance with all corporate and industry policies and legal and regulatory requirements, for all regional commercial activities
Utilizes professional communication to foster strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues

Requirements

Must be able to travel extensively (50% to 75%)
Looking for candidates who have current licensure as an RN or Genetic Counselor with experience with Lysosomal Storage Disorders.
Previous genetic counselor experience highly desirable. Skills:
Licensed Registered Nurse or Board Certified Genetic Counselor required (active state license if applicable)
Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant clinical specialty (e.g. nursing or genetics)
Ability to work within a complex internal and external team structure
Must have the ability to work independently and solve problems creatively
Hard working, energetic and passionate about making a difference for patients
Utilizes professional communication to foster strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including building strong working relationships, and managing and resolving conflict
Current knowledge of all applicable industry, legal, and regulatory compliance guidance
An unwavering commitment to upholding the highest ethical, legal, regulatory and scientific standards Education:
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Health Care/ Life Sciences/ Nursing (or equivalent).
3-5 years of industry experience Licensed Registered Nurse or Board Certified Genetic Counselor required (active state license if applicable)
