Woolpert, Inc. is looking for an excellent GIS Analyst. If you live GIS and want to stay at the top of your game, then this position is for you! While you will be part of an excellent group of GIS analysts and developers, you will be working at a federal government client site in downtown DC within walking distance of the Federal Center SW metro stop. You will work independently, but know when to reach out to the other members of your team for help. The team is located all over the country and you must be comfortable resolving issues remotely. You must be able to obtain a clearance, which requires a criminal background check. US citizenship is not required, but you must be able to legally work in the United States. Your main responsibilities will be to: - Maintain & administer ArcSDE. - Maintain & administer ArcGIS Server. - Author and oversee geoprocessing tasks to convert AutoCAD/Microstation files to ArcSDE. - Maintain data. - Troubleshoot Esri GIS products for the user community. - Support custom GIS applications. - Identify opportunities for future GIS applications and service deliverables. You possess: - An interest in learning new technologies. - Experience with ArcGIS products, especially Desktop 10.x. - Experience with CAD, especially MicroStation. - An understanding of architectural and civil infrastructure. - An understanding of relational databases. Ideally, you have significant experience using: - ArcSDE on an Enterprise RDBMS like SQL Server or Oracle. - ArcGIS Server, especially with authoring & publishing services, and building & maintaining a cache. - ArcGIS geoprocessing tool with ModelBuilder. - ArcGIS 3D Analyst and 3D GIS datasets. - SAFE Software FME or the ArcGIS Data Interoperability Extension. Additionally, the following experiences are a plus: - IIS - SQL Server Administration and performance tuning - Transact SQL - ArcGIS Geoprocessing with Python - Windows Server Task Scheduling and Programming through command line (.BAT)
