Position Summary: Responsible for driving segment brand strategies and fiscal
performance through global marketing excellence. Develops and deploys
differentiated portfolio strategies based upon consumer insights and market
opportunities. Responsible for leading initiatives that drive overall brand
health and business performance within the segment.
Key Result Areas - Delivers segment brand and portfolio strategies to meet
global business performance metrics including profit goals and portfolio
productivity. Acts as a global leader for brand health, consumer-driven
innovation and portfolio differentiation in collaboration with cross -functional
commercial and development teams.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities -
o Brand integrity: Develop segment strategies that support the brand driver;
consistency & scale globally through brand components (packaging, messaging,
o Consumer insights: Initiates research to uncover consumer needs and build
differentiated, relevant opportunities for the brand.
o Portfolio development: Collaborates with R&D to merge consumer needs and
applied technology into effective consumer solutions. Identifies pricing
strategies in alignment with brand equity and business opportunities. Optimizes
global portfolio and innovation processes to deliver against productivity goals.
o Global perspective: Ability to bring global outlook to the role, including
developed and developing markets.
o Communication: Ability to effectively organize and present messages.
Understands and works to establish partnerships with key functions across the
Working Relationships - Reports to Director, Global Marketing - Batteries. Key
relationships internally will include Area Marketing, Global Brand
Development, Consumer Research and Product Development. External engagement will
include agency partners.
o Marketing / Business Administration (marketing major). BS/BA required.
o English proficiency required. Additional languages beneficial.
o Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
o 3+ years experience in Global Marketing, Brand & Portfolio Management,
plus Product Development experience
