The Institute for Health Research and Policy (IHRP) in
the School of Public Health at UIC is searching for 20 hour per week Graduate
Hourly. This position does not offer a tuition waiver. This individual will
assist with the evaluation of the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
We Choose Health initiative.
Specific activities include literature reviews, data collection tool development, data entry and cleaning, basic qualitative and quantitative analysis, utilization of surveillance data, policy analysis and other duties as assigned. The individual will work as part of an evaluation team and will report to the Project Director at IHRP. Project scope may provide opportunities for independent research or fulfillment of course/educational requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and a basic
understanding of data analysis and research methods is required. Exposure to
variable coding and data management preferred. Must have strong verbal and written
communication skills. Familiarity with SPSS is desired. Must be a student in
the Masters or Doctoral Public Health Program or related field.
