The technology pathfinding team of Intel Developer Product Division has an exciting summer internship opportunity for working on leading edge programming languages, compilers and performance tools. In this position, you will be working on programming models, compiler optimizations, performance monitors and analyzers, targeting current and future generations of Intel Core, Xeon-Phi, and GT graphics engine. This will involve:
Design parallel programming models, compilers and parallel runtime libraries.
Develop performance monitoring and analysis tools.
Improve optimization algorithms and implementations.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in BS/MS program in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a firm understanding of software engineering and system software, especially compilers and performance tools. Candidate must have 6+ months of work or educational experience in the following areas:
Proficiency in C and C++
Knowledge of compiler optimizations, CPU architecture, IA32 and Intel 64 ISA
Preferred skills and experience:
Experience working in the Linux and Windows build environments would be an added advantage
Prior industry experience, including prior summer internships would be an added advantage
