Disney Seattle enables digital content distribution for major Disney brands like ESPN, ABC, and Marvel.

On the Mobile & Connected Devices team at DTSS, we focus on the exciting new distribution channels like Internet connected TV's, smartphones, and tablets.

We are looking for exceptional software engineering candidates to play key roles in building these platforms. You will leverage your development skills and your passion for new technology to make a significant impact. We work in small highly effective agile engineering teams where you will be treated like an adult, and expected to deliver what you commit too.

Recent projects:
  • Disney Studios - Multiplatform delivery of Disney movies to iOS & Android smartphones and tablets. RESTful Java Web services apis created
  • ESPN International - Secure HTML5 Mobile Video platform. This included both innovative highly scalable backend web services & customer facing front end HTML5 and JavaScript Web-app development and design.
  • DeviceLink Platform - Developing a solution for device pairing and login on input-challenged devices like SmartTVs.
  • Research new project areas
  • Write code & contribute to core services
  • Develop proof of concepts
  • Collaborate with other team members
  • Create demos and presentations
Basic Qualifications
  • Passion for emerging technologies
  • Collaborative work-ethic
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Solid Understanding of Web Architectures
  • Solid CS fundamentals
  • Java experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Git source control
  • Mobile iOS, Android, or HTML5 experience
Required Education
  • Junior or Senior in CS degree or equivalent
  • Masters candidate preferred
