NORC at the University of Chicago is seeking a qualified Graduate Research Assistant to support the General Social Survey (GSS) project in our Hyde Park office on a part-time basis, 10-20 hours per week.
The Graduate Research Assistant will assist the GSS Principal Investigator and GSS Project Coordinator with the following:
Processing, cleaning, and documentation of GSS data
Formatting International Social Survey Program (ISSP) data for delivery to GESIS
GSS and ISSP data analysis
Other GSS related tasks
Applicants must have a at least a master’s degree in the social sciences
Must have strong knowledge of SPSS and with Stata or SAS
Experience with Excel, Powerpoint, and graphical display programs is also required
Experience with survey research is desirable
Local candidates strongly preferred.
