Graduate Student Intern
The candidate will work with a small, fast-moving team working on building software stack that work on next generation memory technologies. The candidate will help to develop demo applications in high performance or power-constrained problem domains that exploit the new memory capabilities of the platform. The position will include run-time framework, application, and kernel programming on Linux, possibly along with lab/networking infrastructure development.
The candidate must be enrolled in a PhD or MS program at a US University. Experience in C, familiarity with the Linux operating system, basic knowledge of computer architecture are requirements. The ideal candidate will also have experience in parallel programming, low-level system programming (schedulers, memory allocators, etc) and a working knowledge of compilers. It is best if the candidate's research is consistent with the goals of this internship.
Skill Set Requirements
-Expert C, good C++
-Experienced application programming on Linux or Windows in C/C++
-Have written at least one device driver or equivalent kernel-level programming on at least one OS
-Minimum time in position is 6 months.
Skill Set Nice to Haves
-Bash, Python, PowerShell
-Kernel programming on Linux, Windows
-Development environments including Eclipse and Visual Studio
-Experience with virtual platform technology and/or platform emulation technology
-Network infrastructure experience
-Available for 9-12 months
