PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for producing income from the assigned area through profitable sales of grain systems projects, and other products. Provides recommendations based upon sound engineering principles, collection according to contract terms, and developing long term relationships and market awareness for future sales.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Seeks and qualifies prospects, utilizes professional selling skills to uncover wants and needs

Delivers presentations, closes deals, and maintains timely contact with prospects

Prepares proposals based upon sound engineering principles, and relies on computer programs and support services to assist with engineering challenges to minimize company risk exposure

Uses contracts and change orders, and proactively collects payments in accordance with terms of the agreements

Submits detailed information on sold projects including signed contracts, pricing details, equipment requirements, and sketches as needed to communicate the project scope to others

Orders materials directly with suppliers and coordinates shipments to maximize efficiency and inventory

Regularly communicates with the manager to inform of jobs sold, material deliveries, customer comments, service call backs, and to lock in construction time tables

Works with other employees to exchange leads and to cooperate on promotional campaigns

Maintains sales call records, and submits information about sales call outcomes as requested

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Provides inputs for marketing plans and promotions

Troubles mechanical field issues

Represents the company at trade shows and marketing events

Seeks new opportunities and markets for the company

Follows Evergreen FS Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply

Performs all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Construction or Marketing, or the equivalent years of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient using common office programs including Email, Word, Excel, in addition to learning other specialized programs that include but are not limited to: Quoting programs, AutoCad and other software programs.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered “normal” as business conditions warrant

Frequently required to lift 71-100 lbs

Occasionally work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)

Occasionally work in noisy conditions

Working conditions occasionally may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures

Occasionally may be required to work at varying heights

Occasionally may be exposed to confined spaces

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Evergreen FS policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
