Position Summary:

Responsible for creative concepts and production supporting design functionality, and e-mail marketing campaigns for the Gettington website and brand experience. Under the supervision of the Creative Director, this person will manage assigned website updates and releases supporting the company’s overall production release schedule.

Major Areas of Accountability:
  • Collaborating with the creative team to translate business objectives and user needs into emotionally engaging visual designs
  • Presenting cohesive and persuasive rationales for all creative materials developed
  • Supporting Marketing and Merchandising web communication initiatives
  • Participating in brainstorming and design meetings pertaining to creative concepts and production
  • Ensuring that the quality of creative is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards for output
  • Working with freelance designers and external agencies to support creative when needed

Primary Duties:
  • Make decisions on a daily basis that ensures creative quality and brand consistency
  • Assure that timely and informative communication takes place between the creative team and internal partners
  • Support in department production planning and budget development/adherence
  • Drive for constant improvements for design and processes

Required Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver
  • Front-end development experience
  • Video/animation experience
  • Strong understanding of interface, information and interactive design
  • Working knowledge of AS2 + AS3
  • Understanding of CSS and HTML with familiarity in JavaScript and AJAX techniques
  • Ability to follow creative briefs and execute in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel and outside vendors
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent planning, time-management and follow-through skills
  • Solid working knowledge with Microsoft Office software programs
  • Team player with strong work initiative and organizational skills

Required Experience
  • Two year degree or equivalent in Graphic Design or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years of related creative experience in Interactive creative and advertising
