The CDO was founded by Chief Information Officer Guy Chiarello to speed application development, promote the use of solid, predictable patterns and build quality assurance and testing activities into every project. To that end, we offer guidance on software engineering best practices, help in implementing quality assurance and quality control, intensive Agile coaching engagements, and the


product portfolio.

As a graphics designer and illustrator you will work closely with head of the


Client Engagement in developing all aspects of brand identiry, logo creation, typesetting, graphics layout and design, collateral creation, specialty presentation materials, and all aspects of both pre- and post production for print and web delivery channels.

As a professional graphics designer and illustrator you must be profecient in such tools as the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge, Acrobat Professional, Acrobat Distiller, etc.), QuarkExpress, CopyDesk, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

As a member of the Client Engagement team you must be able to work closely and coordinate activities to provide support in the form of artifact creation and consulting to groups such as training, communications and the


website team.

Designing effective web sites, brochures and presentations, balancing clarity, relevance and timeliness to achieve business goals

Planning and leading a broad range of customer-experience design activities and recommending design solutions for all levels of IT management and stakeholders

Prototyping and brainstorming, which may include hardware or software user interfaces and design methods

Ensuring the timely delivery of information design comps, web graphics and presentations

Training and mentoring team members in customer-experience disciplines

Other duties as assigned

3-plus years of hands-on experience in a senior designer capacity at an interactive agency, design studio (with web clients) or dotcom, and a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to guide the creative development of dynamic consumer websites and related products

Degree in graphic design, interaction design, user interface, interactive/interface design or industrial design

Experience with user interfaces, multimedia, web applications, editorial and brand-marketing design

Disciplined self-starter with strong attention to detail and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills

Expert user of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint

Strong communication, critical-thinking and creative problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently as well as with a team, with or without direction

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

A sophisticated sense of design with the ability to combine traditional as well as nontraditional elements, such as animation, video and sound
