Design and typeset all Texas Performing Arts performance programs. Provide highly creative graphic design for Texas Performing Arts and contribute to marketing strategies.
Gather content, to include copy and images, typeset, design, conduct proofing and execute printing of all Texas Performing Arts season performance programs. Manage program book groupings and schedule, serve as primary contact with program printing vendor, meet program print deadlines, work with ticket office and booking area to determine estimated program quantities per performance, and ensure printed programs are delivered to correct venue. Create and design advertising and collateral for Texas Performing Arts and its departments, to include print and web ads, posters, signage, brochures, and related graphic design components. Follow projects through printing phase to ensure timeliness and accuracy of completion. Effectively communicate with printing vendors throughout entire production process, to include acquiring bids and placing orders based on established budget, prepare electronic files for pre-press, and perform press checks. Prepare internal requisitions for projects as assigned. Develop successful professional relationships with internal and external clients, suppliers, printers, and vendors that will allow for effective project execution. Other related graphic design tasks as assigned.

Bachelor's degree. One year of experience in print design. Experience managing details of concurrent projects. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrated ability to maintain a strong attention to detail.
Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Communications, Illustration, or Advertising. More than one year of experience in print design. Experience in electronic pre-press production and press checks. Advanced communication skills. Experience with new media, including web design or Adobe Flash. Demonstrated ability to produce effective designs and successfully multitask. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team while managing positions workload independently. Ability to be flexible with working assignments and to work within a large, complex environment. Ability to balance several projects with tight deadlines simultaneously. Related work experience in a multi-purpose performing arts center.
